Subject: Typeface Trade mark permission. How to do it?

Dear members,

Let me introduced myself. I am a teacher that started to play with fonts a

couple of years ago. I have developed 20 school fonts. I live in Los Angeles

(CA).

My question is this: I would like to redesign and sell a school typeface whose
Trade Mark is the hands of a publishing company . I have contacted this
company asking for permission and fees involved in exploiting its typeface .

They have told me I should send them a proposal letter. Do you have any idea
about what the approach should be? Is it there any kind of "template" that
deals with terms conditions and fees?
