Dear Ramón,

An email list works indeed a bit like a user's group, except it works
though email.

When you send a message to the list 'type.design@listbot.com', all other
subscribers receive the same message. Just as if they where reading it in a
newsgroup.

When you receive a message from the list, all other subscribers receive the
same message at the same time. If you hit Reply, and reply to the message,
all other subscribers get it.

In effect, a list is very much like a user's group, except that all happens
by email, which lets you keep a copy of all the messages. It is usually
good management to create a folder for the list, where you can put the
messages received and sent, for future reference.

The messages are also archived on the list site, at
http://type.design.listbot.com, where you can see them by clicking on 'View
List Archive'.

And, last but not least, it does not cost you anything !

Don't hesitate to ask any question, or to voice any opinion. Lists are a
wonderful resource, where most questions receive pertinent answers,
contrary to newsgroups, where messages tend to get diluted in the ambiant
noise.

Hope you enjoy this new communication tool made just for us, type designers :)
